Thank you to the South Dakota and Minnesota Suffolk Association for helping with this event!

Plan on attending and need a hotel room?
There is a room block at the Fairfield Inn (605-692-3500), just minutes from the show location on the South Dakota State University Campus. The room block is for the nights of July 4th thru July 8th for $89.00 per night. To receive this rate, please state that you are Suffolk block.

Attention USSA Members

The USSA is announcing the USSA /UJSSA Membership Drive.

The goal of this program is to recruit new members or encourage past members who have been inactive to rejoin the USSA or UJSSA.

Details for USSA members: Any senior member of the USSA is eligible to participate in the Membership Drive. If a senior member signs up 5 new senior members, they will receive a $35 account credit through the USSA. If a senior member signs up 10 new senior members, they will receive an $85 account credit through the USSA.

Details for UJSSA members: Any junior member of the UJSSA is eligible to participate in the Membership Drive. If a junior member signs up 5 new junior members, they will receive a $15 account credit through the USSA. If a junior member signs up 10 new junior members, they will receive a $40 account credit through the USSA.

To insure you get credit, remind your recruits to communicate to the office who encouraged them to join the USSA or UJSSA. For more details, please contact the USSA Office. Let's promote the USSA, UJSSA and registered Suffolks!

Amnesty Program Returns!

The amnesty program has been extended until June 1, 2012! Late registration and transfer fees will be suspended during this period of time, and members may register and/or transfer Suffolks over one year of age for the regular fee of $6.00 per head.

Congratulations to Tom Schambow and Monica Ebert, recipients of the USSA Scholarships! Each recipient will receive a $1000 scholarship, paid directly towards the institution they attend.

Tom is a currently attending the University of Wyoming where he is working towards a degree in Business Management and a minor in Plant Science. Upon graduation, Tom plans to work in agricultural management position in a landscape and nursery company. Tom also plans to stay actively involved with his family's Suffolk flock.

Monica is currently a junior at Kansas State University where she is working towards a dual degree in apparel design and marketing. Monica is also a member of the wool judging team at Kansas State. Upon completion of her bachelor's degree, Monica plans to pursue a Master's and PhD in apparel design with emphasis in wool research.

Congratulations to this year's scholarship winners!
